Foul Weather Friday

I stayed in bed until almost 0800 this morning. I think that I heard it start to rain again around 0630 and decided that there was really no rush to get up. Besides, I was nice and cozy and I knew that today was supposed to be a little cooler as well.

I made myself some cereal for breakfast, and had planned on making a couple of slices of the cranberry, orange, raisin nut toast after I finished my cereal, but when I finished the cereal, I forgot about the toast. I did not think about it until around 1100 and by then it was too late for breakfast.

So around noon I made my self the toast and after a couple slices, I sliced some of the bread that Kathleen had made and made myself a limburger cheese and onion open-faced sandwich.

I had gone outside for a while and picked some more English ivy, but it really was too rainy out and I did not need to get sick.

I also ran the check and statement for our property taxes to the post office. The mail was late today and I wanted to make sure that I got it mailed so that it would reach the tax office by the 15th.

When the mail did arrive, it was mostly catalogs and junk mail. I have a feeling that between now and Christmas we will be getting many catalogs. The junk mail seems to come almost every day no matter the season.

Kathleen had her physical therapy appointment today, I have not been going with her, as it has gotten a little boring just sitting around reading old magazines for a couple of hours. Now that she can drive again, there is really no need for me to go.

I stayed home and pinched the barbs on some fly hooks and snacked on some carrots and celery filled with peanut butter.

Kathleen came home about 1730 after her physical therapy she stopped by Winco to pick up a "few" items, eight bags to be more precise, she also stopped by K-mart to pick up some candy and sweetened cereal for herself. When she got home, I unloaded the car and put things away.

Kathleen opened up a couple cans of soup for dinner and cooked a yam, which we divided. A good meal for a cool wintry evening. Well, it has been dark for several hours now and I do not envision anything exciting happening here later so I will just say good night now.
